Pikes Peak ASTD Learning Summit

Pikes Peak ASTD is pleased to offer TWO half day sessions with Franklin Covey for this years all day learning event. Choose to attend either half day session, or make a day of it and participate in both sessions. For those participating in the full day session, lunch will be provided. Refreshments provided in each half day session.

Session 1: Project Management for the Adult Learning Professional (8:30am - Noon)

Today’s trainers have quietly slipped into the role of the unofficial project manager.  Stakeholders, scope creep, and a lack of process all combine to make project execution difficult and time-consuming.  When trainers learn to implement a disciplined process to execute projects and to master informal authority, project and initiative success increases.

Outcomes include:

  • Learn 6 steps necessary for successful project execution
  • Gain exposure to a mindset, skill set and tool set that will consistently see projects through to completion.

Session 2: Creativity Boost for the Adult Learning Professional (1:00pm - 4:30pm)

We tend to think that creativity is reserved for those with the natural ability to paint, compose a sonnet, or play a musical instrument. Nothing could be further from the truth. We all have the ability to be tremendously creative. Like anything else in life, creativity (or developing your creativity) takes practice, persistence, and discipline, but it can be a lot of fun too.

Outcomes include:

  • Challenge your thinking about creativity by destroying common myths and putting to bed forever the idea that you aren’t creative.
  • Learn the eight Cs of our creative processundefinedwe call it cr8tivity. Increase your competitive advantage in both your personal and professional lives by putting this creative approach into practice.

Who should attend?
Professional speakers, executives, trainers, performance consultants, business owners, salespeople, HR managers, coaches, community leaders, and more!
