    Learning Services Manager

    Contribute to our growing company as you lead, support and develop a team of instructors/consultants. The Learning Services Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of new employee onboarding; technical and soft skill training curriculums; leadership development and other employee development programs for California Casualty nationwide.  Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Learning & Development, the role manages a geographically dispersed staff that has the responsibility for training delivery across disciplines (includes Sales, Customer Service, Claims, Underwriting and Marketing).  This role manages and implements programs that increase the skill set of our workforce across the enterprise in support of achieving overall business goals. This high impact position requires creativity and flexibility; partners with the Learning Technologies Manager and will work with a variety of subject matter experts and managers to identify training needs, assess performance gaps and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure business needs and objectives are met. A positive and enthusiastic attitude is needed as you plan and analyze the functional and business support of specific learning needs and work closely with business leaders and numerous internal support teams to ensure the successful development and integration of learning deliverables. In addition, you will establish and maintain partnerships with vendors to identify and deliver content that meets organizational needs. This unique position also works with the Senior Vice President, Learning and Development to identify and implement leadership strategies and facilitate programs to accelerate the development of leaders across the company. 

     

    This role impacts organizational objectives through the growth and development of our employees. It demands someone with the know-how, track record and passion to tackle challenges and find solutions. Must be able to identify and understand business issues, client needs, problems and opportunities. You’ll need to develop strong relationships across the company. Listening and collaboration will be key to analyze organizational results, job requirements, operational problems and performance gaps.

     

    To be successful, a Bachelors degree in Business, Education, Corporate Training, related field or equivalent experience as well as 5-10 years experience, Corporate Training, Instructional Design, Insurance/Financial Services, Education or related field is required. This position will have tremendous impact so we’re looking for a seasoned performer with the following experience:

     

    • Facilitation/Delivery: 10+ years facilitation/training experience required. 
    • Leadership Development: 5+ years developing, implementing and facilitating leadership development programs.
    • Management/Leadership: 5-8 years experience, managing, coaching and developing a training design/delivery team.
    • Training Curriculum Management: 5-8 years managing corporate training curriculums.
    • Instructional Design: Experience managing and/or designing learning solutions preferred.
    • Insurance experience: 3-5 years property/casualty insurance experience preferred.
    • Facilitation Certifications in DDI, Franklin Covey, Integrity Solutions, etc. highly desired.
